Creativity, Alternate Plans and Depression

CREATIVITY AND MAKING OTHER PLANS:

Michael Kostroff talks about the career of acting and the experience of Depression. Thank you Michael for helping actors to sometimes stop 'PUSHING on the PULL door' by at least looking at other options so they can free themselves from the 'trapped' feeling. http://www.backstage.com/bso/reviews-movie-tv-reviews/owning-the-downside-of-being-an-actor-1006817362.story . I raise a toast to all actors who pursue this sometimes bumpy path! (see my next post on subject of Actors & Depression)

CREATIVITY AND DEPRESSION:
I recently heard a fascinating review of a new book called IMAGINE: HOW CREATIVITY WORKS which explores the letting go/giving up/depression and how it is actually PART OF THE CYCLE OF CREATIVITY. Apparently Bob Dylan had quit the music business not long before he pumped out "Like a Rolling Stone."
