See Nancy Lantis in NBC-TV Parks and Recreation

Affinity Artists congratulates client Nancy Lantis for her guest co-star appearance in the new NBC television comedy series Parks and Recreation. Created by Greg Daniels of The Office and starring Amy Poehler of Baby Mama, Parks and Recreation traces the antics of an Indiana town's public officials as they pursue random projects to make their city a better place.

Nancy Lantis plays a housewife and mother who disapproves of Amy Poehler's door-to-door canvassing of neighbors in the episode “Canvassing”. Missed seeing the episode on NBC-TV? Watch it online:

SAG Stalemate Nearing Resolution

The Screen Actors Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers have reached tentative agreement. That’s good news for agents like myself and for talent that’s seen film production drop to record lows. Unfortunately, that the contract won’t be ratified until June at the soonest. Many pilots have switched to AFTRA contracts and are therefore unaffected by SAG.

How to Meet Casting Directors

I'll be the first to tell you, there are many roads into Hollywood success for child actors. Here's one potential one...

Howard Meltzer, Casting Director for Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana", is running a Special Kids Workshop for kids 12-18 years old on Saturday, April 18th, 10AM to 1PM. Three-hour workshop for young actors to meet and work one-on-one with one of the leading Casting Directors for kids and teens. Howard's other credits include several TV Movies and series for Disney, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Cartoon Network and currently a pilot for the new DISNEY XD.

Cost is $99. As always with CD workshops, pick only the best workshops for you and don't exceed your budget. Make something happen. Be pro-active. Get yourself out in front of the right people. Howard Meltzer or 323-850-7717.
